We're doing our part by focusing our resources to support healthcare professionals and the public at large.
Rose Brand has made a simple tie-on mask from tight weave polyester designed with supportive messaging. Printed on our 16-foot wide fabric printer and cut on our computer-controlled fabric cutting table, the masks can be washed in hot water to clean as needed.
These masks are not suitable for medical application and are only intended for use by the general public to minimize the effects of coughing and sneezing in public. The CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. It slows the spread of the virus and helps people, who may have the virus and not know it, from transmitting it to others.
Portable Curtain Cubicles
Using readily available pipe support systems, Rose Brand is working with textile giant Milliken to make rapid deployment patient cubicles available for pop-up hospitals being commissioned in many municipalities. The system can be set up in mere minutes, and needs no tools or special skills. The curtain panels are anti-microbial and fire retardant.
Mobilizing To Make A Difference
Rose Brand works with mills around the world to develop and source the many fabrics used in ordinary entertainment production. Responding to the urgent needs of healthcare workers, these same mills have been re-tooling their production to provide much needed solutions. Rose Brand is proud to be a partner with these mills and to offer their solutions to front line workers. Their efforts include:
Production of fabrics that meet Level 1 and Level 2 certification, suitable for use in medical gowns.
Manufacture of a non-woven filtration fabric with superior performance for face masks (not yet tested or certified to N95 levels ).
Production of polyester fabrics with an antimicrobial finish which is tested to Sanitized™ standards for resisting staph, e-coli and mersa bacteria.
